UK Food Security Report 2021

Issue

1. The above report published by Defra provides analysis of statistical data relating to food security. It examines past, current and predicted trends relevant to food security to present the best available understanding of food security.

2. Members will wish to see and discuss the sections of the report relating foodborne disease and incidents: UKFSR 2021: Theme 5: food safety and consumer confidence and UKFSR 2021 Appendix.

Action

The committee is invited to comment on the analysis in the report related to foodborne disease and incidents.
