Professor Andrew Page works in the field of computing sciences and bioinformatics. He is currently serving as the Director of Technical Innovation at Theiagen Genomics where he is responsible for developing and executing technical innovation strategies to bolster the company's standing in the microbial genomics landscape. Prior to this, he was the Head of Informatics at Quadram Institute Bioscience where he led the core bioinformatics, cloud computing, and genome sequencing teams and also held a role in Microbes in the Food Chain ISP. He has also worked Wellcome Sanger Institute on pathogen genomics. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the National University of Ireland Maynooth and is currently a Visiting Professor at the University of East Anglia. He has made significant contributions to open-source software, particularly on microbial bioinformatics tools.
